Who I Am

Hi, I’m Patrick Aikens.

I’m a software engineer, and have been for a very long time. I started in the video games industry. Since then I have passed through the insurance industry and the banking industry before ending up at Cox Automotive Inventory Solutions where I remain today.

Hobbies

I enjoy reading, though I’ve shifted in recent times to more audiobooks as my commute times have increased dramatically. I enjoy fiction mostly… sci-fi, fantasy, adventure. I read comic books. I play video games. I code small projects in my (very limited) spare time.

This blog is built with Hugo, a great static website generator written in Go. I’m using the bilberry theme. The blog is hosted on Github.com and is built by CircleCI.
